Catherine Halcrow Creative Director
Catherine is a concept developer and content manager, whose years of client-side experience ensures a strong focus on learning and other outcomes for your visitors. In eight years at London’s Science Museum, Catherine worked on exhibition and master-planning projects across the NMSI museum family. She moved in 2004 to head the interpretation team at the Zoological Society of London with a remit covering capital projects, design and daily events across two sites at London and Whipsnade. Catherine develops interpretation concepts for Outside Studios projects, and project manages them to delivery.
Dug Mackie Design Director
After graduating with a First in Interior Architecture in 1994, Dug worked freelance as a Designer/Maker - this led to a role as Lead theme Designer for Explore At-Bristol. He is a versatile and ingenious interpretive designer with a broad range of experience, from complex engineering on physical interactives and water exhibits, through to modelling and making. Dug leads on all design aspects of Outside Studios projects, and has a very hands-on role during production and installation as part of our attention to detail and quality.
