BEJEWELLED
CLIENT: THE LIBRARY AND MUSEUM OF FREEMASONRY
The Library and Museum of Freemasonry approached us to develop a temporary exhibition that would make a real statement in their older display galleries on a tight budget. We clad existing cases in vinyl allowing permanent collections to be stowed away in their lower sections during the show, and using their ‘backs’ to enclose the exhibition. A temporary portal accentuated the bright displays beyond. Freestanding display panels within the cases allowed the badges to be hung vertically as the freemasons actually wear them. We made a tabletop for an existing table with three interactives to sit at the centre of a six-case storyline. The result was an engaging and popular show that ended up being extended far beyond its intended run.
